We can provide a local service with support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are looking for people who can make a difference to a young person life by giving them positive opportunities. If you have fostered before, befor worked with children or young people or if you feel you have the qualities needed, we would be very interested to hear from you.

- Why Swan Fostering?

Swan Fostering is a specialised service that was set up to recruit and support local carers. We aim to recruit carers of different backgrounds, cultures and religions.

With Swan Fostering, you would be working with a totally professional team committed to ensuring that disadvantaged children have the best care possible.

- What is expected of you?

 Following an enquiry you will be sent some information about fostering and an Application Form, which will need to be completed, giving detailed information about you and your family and consent for Swan Fostering to complete necessary checks and enquiries. Once you have completed and returned the Application Form to Swan Fostering an Initial Home visit will be arranged by Swan Fostering. This gives you the opportunity to ask questions and us the chance to share information about the Assessment.

The Assessment takes approximately 3-6 months to complete and during that period a report is prepared to ultimately present to a Fostering Panel for approval. Once you are approved as foster carers you will be given constant training, support and reviews.
